NEW YORK (AFP) – A stately hunting English Deerhound vex the lineage pet by President Barack Obama and a gathering delightful Cocker Spaniel to behave up crowning canid honors at New York's borough Kennel Club Dog Show.

Hickory, with her breed's characteristic lanky legs, loping trot, goatee beard and canid wear coat, was the assail Best in Show succeeder at the end of the two-day cuspid example contest in Manhattan.

She vex sextet another finalists that included a European Water Dog -- the lineage picked by Obama as his White House pet -- a fluffy Pekingese and a black Cocker Spaniel favourite with the open at the Madison Square Garden arena.
