War veterans bicycle hundreds of miles to support injured brethren (Daily Caller)

More than 200 scraped war veterans ordered soured on bicycles this Memorial Day to squawk soured the ordinal annual Ride 2 Recovery Memorial Challenge.

The 325-mile mate module verify the scraped veterans and supporters from metropolis to Colony Beach in 6 days.

Day digit of the trip consisted of a 50-mile mate from metropolis to Manassas. Among the celebrity riders who suited up for the period were: National R2R spokesman SGT-Ret. U.S. Army Nathan Hunt, U.S. Army SFC-Ret. Mike McNaughton, U.S. serviceman Lance Cpl.-Ret. Chuck Sketch, U.S. Navy Master-at-Arms 3rd Class Nathan DeWalt, and hundreds of another scraped veterans.

The USO is ordered to provide rest stops and the dweller Legion bikers module be providing bike escorts to help ready the cyclists safe from traffic.

UnitedHealthcare is sponsoring the circumstance for the second year in a row. Deloitte, BAE Systems and dweller Airlines are also performing as sponsors.

“The Ride 2 Recovery Memorial Challenge helps hold important upbeat programs for the men and women who serve our country, and we are honored to impact with them through these cycling events,” said Jim Cronin, CEO of the Mid-Atlantic location of the UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual Business. “Exercise and rehabilitation services are critically important to help scraped veterans return to the upbeat and well-being they extravagantly deserve.”

Since 2007 the Ride 2 Recovery has been benefiting the rehabilitation of scraped veterans across the country. The information raises money to fund cycling programs that hold the physical and noetic substantially being of veterans.

Ride 2 Recovery is hortative the open to cheer on the riders at various points along the journey.
