White House: US determined to destroy al-Qaida (AP)

WASHINGTON – White House counterterrorism authority John Brennan says U.S officials wish to build on the killing of Osama bin Laden to defeat the al-Qaida terrorist organization.

Brennan tells NBC's "Today" exhibit the Obama brass is determined "to pummel the rest of al-Qaida." He said the methodicalness already has suffered "severe embody blows."

He also said in Tuesday's discourse that "clearly there was whatever kind of hold network" for bin Laden exclusive Pakistan. Brennan declined to blessed the Asiatic polity for that, calling Islamabad "a strong counterterrorism partner." But he also said the Asiatic polity is conducting its own enquiry into how bin Laden dodged authorities for so long. Brennan said it is "unknown at this point" whether individuals exclusive the Asiatic polity were serving bin Laden.
