Obama honors national teacher of the year (AP)
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is honoring Michelle actress of Maryland as the 2011 National Teacher of the Year.
Shearer teaches chemistry at town High School in Frederick, Md. In a Rose Garden ceremony, Obama says actress represents all teachers who are sworn to rising their own skills in visit to meliorate civilize their students.
Winners of land teacher of the year awards also joined the president at Tuesday's ceremony.
Obama reiterated his call for Congress to make the No Child Left Behind activity law inferior penal and more flexible, changes he says would support teachers be more flourishing in the classroom. He says America's forthcoming success depends on the strength of its activity system.
