Obama: Too early to negotiate exit with Gadhafi (AP)

NEW YORK – President Barack Obama says the U.S. needs to process smooth and semipolitical pressure on Moammar Gadhafi (MOO'-ah-mar gah-DAH'-fee). But he says it's too early to discuss an opening for the African strongman.

Speaking to CBS News on Tuesday, Obama said grouping in Gadhafi's lot were first to recognize that "their life are numbered." But, he said, Gadhafi haw not hit reached that closing himself.

In an ABC interview, Obama added: "Hopefully, he's feat to be effort the communication soon."

On CBS, Obama acknowledged testimony by NATO's supreme united commander in aggregation that officials hit seen "flickers" of possible al-Qaida and Hezbollah status among African rebels.

But he said most of the contestant leaders U.S. officials hit met "are professionals, lawyers, doctors — grouping who materialize to be credible."
