Obama, Boehner talk by phone, "no resolution": aide (Reuters)
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama titled House Speaker Evangelist Boehner at most 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday, and they "spoke for individual minutes" but reached "no resolution" on the budget stalemate, a Republican aide said.
The White House said Boehner prefabricated the ring call, not Obama, but gave no details of their conversation.
