Obama, top lawmakers to discuss funding dispute (AP)

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama sits downbound with congressional leaders this farewell in hopes of striking a care on polity resource before the latest extension expires Friday.

Without an agreement, or another extension, a polity shutdown could happen. The White House says everyone understands outlay cuts are needed, and adds that "significant advancement has been made." In housing talks fail, Republicans have drafted a one-week extension that includes, among another things, outlay cuts totaling $12 billion.

Later Tuesday morning, the president has meal with Asiatic President Shimon Peres.

In the afternoon, Obama meets severally in the Oval Office with CEO Daniel Yohannes of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and President and CEO Elizabeth Littlefield of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.
